Stranger in My Hometown

from Land of Hope by Contemporary Dead Finnish Music Ensemble

/

lyrics

I'm getting stranger / in my hometown
I'm on the verge / of being seen / being seen
All the ways that / covered up my oddness
are becoming obsolete

I'm getting stranger / in my hometown
Girls all giggle / boys point their finger / dirty finger / (ad lib)

I'm getting stranger / but my hometown
is getting stranger / in an average way
The normal / gets more normal
The ordinary turned on overdrive / overdrive / overdrive

There's a place for me
Where peaks by two will meet
And touch the sky
Light up high
Forever dawn

How long can you be
Invisible to yourself?
Denying the yearning fire
And the flame

Waking up…
Waking life always grows
From the night-time fields
Of your soul

Waking up to a world outside your own self
Takes time

When the city streets are silent
The beating of your heart grows stronger
Time to go
Time to go
Waking up…
The beating of your heart grows stronger
Time to go

about

Contemporary Dead Finnish Music Ensemble Helsinki, Finland

CDFME is a musical community with sole purpose to bring good music to the world.
The Ensemble was born in a year 2000 out of the need to bring back some of the more ambitious and progressive music that had to go literally underground in the 1980’s-90’s.
The music is intensive symphonic rock with lots of room for air, melodic and cinematic, progressive without being pompous in a needless manner.
